Super-vision is not Snooper-vision!
Supervision is:
(Carroll, 2010)
Clinical supervision is my passion and I am dedicated to ongoing reflection, growth, and ethical practice. I offer the opportunity for counsellors and supervisors to experience the same. Together we will create a safe and collaborative space for you to explore your practice concerns, stuckness and successes.
My aim is not to make supervision a space for advice giving, but rather to create the opportunity for you to deepen your reflexive practice, challenge yourself, broaden your skillset, reground yourself when you need it, and find your way forward.
I have a particular interest in the intrapersonal dynamics between client and counsellor, and between supervisee and supervisor. I also enjoy the focus of counsellor and supervisor as person.
I use the 7-eyed process model as my supervision construct. It can help us to consider what area/s of the counselling practice issue you want to reflect upon. It is a flexible model and I use it in conjunction with your counselling construct and needs. There is no one size fits all approach to my supervision practice. Again, as a strengths-based and values-driven clinician, you will experience this stance within supervision.
I offer:

Have you ever heard yourself say, “I need to talk to someone but my problems aren’t big enough or worthy enough for a counsellor. I would only be wasting their time.” Or how about, “I’m hopeless and it’s my fault and it would be embarrassing to talk about my problems.” And then there’s, “Every time I try, it doesn’t work.”
Oh, how our inner critic can be so strong at times!
Or as a therapist/counsellor, "I need something beyond supervision to explore a personal issue." It is important at times to look after our emotional, mental and relational health to keep us well and grounded. Therapy for therapists takes us beyond our practice skillsets- we are important as people too!
Perhaps there are also times when you know you need to shift or change something but you aren’t sure what to do or how to begin? Whatever you are going through: stress, worries about the future, life’s challenges, and changes or feeling stuck, counselling gives you the space to explore what is important to you. You will have the opportunity to unpack your story; to explore new possibilities; to rediscover or enhance your values, skills, and strengths towards a new or different way forward. Or reclaim the you the feel you have lost.
You will be listened to. Your voice will be heard. Your concerns, feelings and thoughts will be honoured. We will soothe your inner critic together and work on building your inner mentor and a sense of hope. And we will do that in collaboration, with compassion and even a little humour at times.
I can support you with:
I work with people aged 26-80 years old. I cannot support issues with cognitive decline or dementia.
This practice does not accept NDIS, WorkCover, TAC, Family Court, or other legal-related cases. My service is not covered by the Medicare Rebate or a Mental Health Care Plan.
Currently I only offer online counselling. There are no session limits. We can negotiate together what you feel you need.

Creating and delivering bespoke workshops has always been a rewarding and fun sideline of my work. My workshops are delivered from a collegiate not an expert stance. Learning together by sharing our skills, strengths, and knowledge, with a good dose of humour, brings out the best in teams.
For many years I have delivered health coaching/behaviour change skills sessions for allied health teams. I find that using my motivational skills alongside my counselling and supervision skills, supports clinicians to enhance their client-centred practice.
